In a time where many people spend long hours sitting in the office or standing on your feet all day with repetitive jobs, its becoming ‘normal’ to suffer from back pain, tight neck and shoulders and bad posture.
But, it doesn’t have to be that way. Pilates is a discipline that works your entire body with special attention to the core muscles and flexibility of your spine, so that you’ll stand up tall and your energy can flow freely to all of your internal organs. It will help you keep a healthy and beautiful posture and motion and you’ll be able to enjoy all kinds of different sports and activities well into old age if you keep it up!
At Yogapilatesbcn, the pilates classes are designed for women, avoiding pressure on the pelvic floor and abdominal wall and lifting the abdominals in and up giving a more feminine look and a more gentle practice for your feminine anatomy.
We’ll teach you how to practice pilates in a way that respects your body and we’ll support you with variations so that you can go deeper in your practice progressively, releasing your spine, strengthening your foundations and freeing your movement!
Getting started with your Pilates Classes
The first step is to book your class and schedule a chat with the teacher so that we can discuss your personal needs and level. If joining us at the studio, we provide all mats and props. If you are practicing at home, you’ll need a yoga mat and a blanket. Recommended extras include long resistance bands, 2x 1 kilo weights and if you want to go all in, you can get a magic circle and a fitball.
